What We Believe
-
The name of Elohim (God) is Yahuah (Scripture Reference: Exodus 3:13-15, 6:3, Isaiah 42:8, Psalm 68:4). This comes from the Hebrew tetragrammaton יהוה (YHWH) commonly rendered as LORD in most English translations of the Bible.
-
Elohim is one (Scripture Reference: Deuteronomy 6:4). “Echad” is a Hebrew word that means “united” as one. We believe there are two within the Elohút (Godhead), the Father and Son (Proverbs 30:4, 1 Corinthians 15:28, Colossians 2:9-10).
-
The Torah (Law or Pentateuch) is still in effect and applicable to our daily lives (Scripture Reference: Matthew 5:17-20, Luke 16:29-31) The first five books of the Bible known as the Torah contains the laws, statutes, and commandments given by The Most High through Moses. According to Matthew 7:21-23, Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, and Revelation 22:14-15 we will be judged according to our adherence to the laws, statutes, and commandments found in the Torah. Obeying the commandments is the fruit of our faith (Romans 3:31, Hebrews 11:1-39, James 2:17-26)
-
We believe in the Gospel of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ), His death, burial, and resurrection: Yeshua, who was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life, was wounded (Isaiah 53:5-8), nailed to a cross and purchased our salvation with His own blood (Scripture Reference: Leviticus 17:11; Hebrews 9:22, 1 Peter 1:18-19), and was resurrected on the third day (Matthew 17:22-23, Mark 9:30-31, Luke 9:22).
-
We believe Salvation is for all nations through faith in Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) alone (Scripture Reference: Acts 15:10-11, Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 4:12, John 14:6)
-
We believe the so-called blacks scattered throughout the world via the transatlantic slave trade represent the true and historical descendants of the Biblical Israelites. Through in-depth biblical teachings and community engagement, we seek to reconnect these groups with what we consider our authentic heritage and identity. We do not believe our identity makes us any greater than other races, nor do we consider it a matter of importance regarding salvation through Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ). All races are welcomed into our assembly. (Galatians 3:28, Acts 15:11, John 3:16)
-
We believe and affirm God's order of the family: Marriage is a covenant or union between one naturally born man and one naturally born woman. Two men or two women are not allowed to marry one another. Husband – responsible for the spiritual and financial development of the home; he is to love his wife as Christ loved the Church; rear children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord and provide for the household (Ephesians 5:25, 28-29, Ephesians 6:4, I Timothy 5:8; I Peter 3:7-9). Wife – responsible for the development of a peaceful and loving home; she reveres and is submitted to her husband; she rears children in the nurture and admonition of The Most High (Proverbs 14:1, Proverbs 31:27-29, Ephesians 5:22-24, 33; I Peter 3:1-6).
-
We believe in the first resurrection of the righteous unto Eternal Life (Scripture Reference: Isaiah 26:19, John 5:24, 1 Thess. 4:16, 1 Corinthians 15:23, Revelation 20:4-5) and the second resurrection unto judgement and the lake of fire for the wicked (the second death) (Scripture Reference: Daniel 12:2, John 5:28–29, Jude v14 & 15, Revelation 20:11-15)
-
We believe in Water Baptism (Immersion) (Scripture Reference: Romans 6:1-9, John 3:5-8, Isaiah 1:15-20): We believe that immersion in water was a gift given to us by Yeshua that offered the repentance of our sins and the receiving of Ruach Hakodesh (The Holy Spirit). We believe that water baptism in and of itself does not grant salvation but that coupled with the renewing of your mind and faith in Yeshua HaMashiach seals you to the day of redemption.
-
We believe in the Bible from cover to cover (both Old and New Testaments). The Scriptures are the inspired Word Of God and are inerrant in content, absolute in authority and complete in revelation. (Psalm 68:11, II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21).
-
We believe in the return of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) and His millennial reign. (Scripture Reference: Isaiah 2:2-3, Daniel 7:13-14 & 27, Luke 1:32-33, Revelation 20:4-6
-
We believe in the coming New Jerusalem (Heaven on Earth) (Scripture Reference: Isaiah 60:1-5, Isaiah 65:17, Isaiah 66:22 , Ezekiel ch40-48, Hebrews 11:10, Revelation 21:1-4)
